As part of a design team, the Electrical Engineer will assist in the preparation of construction drawings for projects, including but not limited to the following systems: Lighting, Power Distribution, Information Technology (Voice and Data), Access Control, Electronic Safety and Security including Fire Alarm for Commercial, Institutional, and Public Facilities. Duties include the design of complete systems from conception to construction documents using Revit and/or AutoCAD.
The Electrical Design Manager provides managerial and technical supervision to the Electrical team using expertise and experience with complex technical activities, provides guidance on unconventional or complex programs, direction on design techniques, and new approaches to assignments with conflicting criteria.

Duties also include generating engineering reports, construction plans, preparation of project specifications, assembling permit applications (City, County, and State) and providing engineering oversight during construction.
Manages full scope of work from preparation of proposal through construction. Duties include overseeing all technical aspects of Transportation/Roadway projects, reviewing all documents for quality control and quality assurance, and coordinating engineers and sub-consultants. Interacts directly with clients during from the pursuit phase, design phase, and through the construction phase. Represents AVCON at industry forums and events.
The primary responsibility of the Civil Permit Expeditor/Construction Administrator is to be the primary individual in the preparation and tracking of permit applications and shop drawings while ensuring permit and construction schedules are adhered. They will assist AVCON’s Engineer-of-Record (EOR) from inception to completion of project. This requires constant communication with the in-house design staff, and the contractor.
